APPLICATION TO STUDY ABROAD THROUGH RADFORD UNIVERSITY
The RU Center for International Education is pleased that you are interested in studying abroad. Studying in another country is a fantastic way to learn about other cultures and about yourself. The vast majority of Radford University (RU) students who have studied abroad have reported that they have found it to be a life-changing experience.
However, studying abroad at RU is a privilege, not a right. We expect students who are representing RU as they visit other countries to demonstrate significant levels of responsibility, maturity, and adaptability. Our goal is for all RU students who study abroad to have an outstanding learning experience that is also safe and enjoyable. For that reason, we ask students who are interested in studying abroad to provide us with the information requested below and be interviewed by the faculty member who will be leading the program. To participate in a Study Abroad program, students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
If you are accepted, you are required to attend one orientation session sponsored by the International Educator Center on (date and time TBA). In addition, you will be required to attend approximately five to six orientation sessions scheduled by the faculty coordinator. Failure to attend these orientation sessions may jeopardize your opportunity to study abroad.
