Study Abroad
101 at RU!
RU students can learn all of the ins and outs
of preparing to study, intern, serve, or work overseas by
attending a "Study Abroad 101" session in the Study Abroad
Resource Center in 108 Cook Hall.
Study Abroad 101 will introduce students to
possible study abroad programs, the procedures to follow to sign
up for them (including applications, financial aid, and course
approvals), and pre-departure preparations students will need to
complete before starting their international adventure.
The International Education Center will be
glad to put students in contact with members of the
RU Global
Highlander Clan who have returned from overseas study programs.
The IEC's professional and student staff will also be happy to
answer any questions students may have about international
opportunities.
Study Abroad 101 sessions take place
every Monday and Wednesday at 2pm and every Tuesday and Thursday
at 4pm in 108 Cook Hall. These sessions should
take no longer than thirty minutes, and students can take
advantage of materials in the IEC's
Study Abroad Resource Center
to start their research into their study abroad programs.
